It's mid-afternoon and I take a break from frantic typing,
to peek outside my glass cage. There, under the shade of a planted pine,
rests a bunny, engulfed cosily in the softness of grass.
It's eyes are the most lively eyes I have seen today.
Not the drowsy eyes. Not the dull eyes.
Not the "yeah another day" eyes.
It is silent, unmoving. Like the light that surrounds the shade.
Once in a while it flicks its ears.
Its meditative repose brings a sudden smile to my face.
